What we collect
- Click records. When you use a link that leads to an operator (any link through
/go/), we record the time, the page, the operator, your state and country as derived from your network address, a hashed form of your browser's user-agent string, the referring website, and any click identifier an advertising platform attached to the link. We do not record your name, your network address itself, or anything you typed. - Server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard request logs for a short period to run and secure the service.
- Email. If you write to us, we keep the email and our reply.
We do not require an account, we do not set tracking cookies for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
Why we collect it
- To be paid by operators for referrals, which is how the site is funded (our legitimate interest in running the service).
- To stop sending visitors to operators that are closed in their state.
- To measure which pages and campaigns work and to detect fraud.
Who we share it with
- Operators and their tracking networks. The click identifier travels with you to the operator so that a later signup can be matched to the click. The operator's own privacy policy governs what happens on their site.
- Service providers. Cloudflare (hosting and storage, United States), and the AI provider we use to draft content, which receives only public web content about operators, never visitor data.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Click records are kept for 13 months, then deleted. Emails are kept for two years. Aggregate statistics with no personal information are kept indefinitely.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold that relates to you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to our use of it. Write to hello@bestsweepsus.com with "privacy request" in the subject line. We answer within 30 days. Because we do not hold your name or network address, a request usually needs the approximate time and page of your visit for us to find a record.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used and shared, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is no opt-out to offer. You may designate an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf. Requests go to the address above.
Other states
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia and others) have similar rights to access, correct and delete, and to appeal a refusal. Use the same address.
Children
This site is for adults aged 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We will post any change here with a new date. Material changes will be noted on the home page for 30 days.
