Chumba Casino is a sweepstakes casino run by the VGW Group. Third-party sources date its launch to 2012. You play with Gold Coins for fun and Sweeps Coins that can be redeemed for prizes. It has 200+ social slots and table games, Daily Jackpots for GC and SC play, a Wild Chests login streak and free-entry Slot Masters tournaments.
It suits slot players who log in often and want several ways to collect coins without buying. It suits players who want quick, low cash redemptions less well, because third parties report a 100 SC minimum. State access is also shrinking. 21+, no purchase necessary, void where prohibited, not available in all states.

Chumba offers a daily bonus, but the amount is not published in the material we reviewed. Beyond that, there are several ways to collect coins without buying:
Daily Jackpots for both GC and SC play. Each jackpot has a must-win time, and winner history is public.
Wild Chests, a login streak with Chest milestones on Days 7, 14, 21 and 28.
Quests, task-based promotions listed on the promotions page.
Slot Masters, tournaments with free entry.
Social media competitions, run on the operator's channels.
If you are new to the GC and SC model, read how sweepstakes casinos work before you buy anything. Gold Coin packages are optional. You never need to buy to play.
Games
Chumba lists 200+ games. The operator says new games are added almost every week, and it carries its own Chumba Exclusives. The library is slot-heavy:
Slots in 3-reel, 5-reel, bonus, Hold and Spin and 10K Ways formats
Fireshot, Fireshot Diamond and Fireshot Inferno
Fire Blaze, Golden Fire Blaze and Mega Fire Blaze
Progressive and community jackpot slots
Chumba Exclusives
Social Live Casino
Table games, including blackjack and roulette
Bingo and Solitaire
Instant Wins and Scratchcards
Slot Masters tournaments
One limit to know: the operator names 14 states where the Fire Blaze feature is unavailable. Check this before you pick a game if you play outside the states with full access.
Redemptions and payment methods
This is the weakest part of the offer. Legal Sports Report, GamesHub and GameChampions all report a 100 SC minimum for cash prize redemptions. That is high. At the signup rate of 2 SC, you would need a lot of play or purchases to reach it.
Gift-card minimums are reported lower, but sources disagree. SweepCasinoUSA reports 10 SC and GameChampions reports 25 SC. Confirm the current figure in your account before you plan around it.
The operator pages we reviewed do not publish redemption methods. Third parties report these options:
ACH bank transfer
Skrill
Gift cards
Prepaid Mastercard
Redemption speed is not published. Some player reviews cite undelivered gift-card redemptions, so keep records of every request.
Where it is open
Chumba is not available in all states, and its official Sweeps Rules link is not published in the material we reviewed. The operator pages we checked do not list excluded states, so we do not print a list here. Third-party lists conflict on how many states are fully excluded and how many are Gold Coin only.
What is reported consistently:
New York is Gold Coin play only. VGW paid New York $8 million in September 2026 to settle illegal-gambling allegations, per SBC Americas, Casino.org and CardPlayer. This followed a 2025 cease-and-desist letter.
California's AB 831, from October 2025, restricts sweepstakes.
Third parties report that SC play has been pulled from a growing list of states.
Check the operator's Sweeps Rules for your state before you sign up. Our guide to where sweepstakes casinos are legal covers the wider picture.
Support and trust
The operator says support is available 24/7. The corporate setup is published: VGW Malta Limited operates the brand, and sweepstakes are run by VGW Games Limited, part of the VGW Group. VGW Games Limited holds Malta Gaming Authority licence MGA/B2C/188/2010 for promotional play games.
The legal record needs weighing. Beyond the New York settlement, Lines.com reports active lawsuits against VGW in Florida and Kentucky. If your state acts, access can change quickly.
Player sentiment is mixed. SweepCasinoUSA cites a Trustpilot rating of 3.8/5 from 10,868 reviews. Common complaints cover game fairness, glitches and undelivered gift-card redemptions. Tech-Insider cites a rating of about 4.1. A BBB complaints profile also exists.
Set limits before you play. Our responsible gaming page lists tools and help lines.
Verdict
We score Chumba Casino 6.8 out of 10. It is a large, established sweepstakes casino with a deep slot library, frequent new releases and a strong set of coin promotions. Daily Jackpots with public winner history and free-entry Slot Masters tournaments are real points in its favour. The published MGA licence and named corporate entities help too.
The score is held back by a small 2 SC signup amount, a reported 100 SC cash redemption minimum, unpublished redemption speed and daily bonus amount, shrinking state coverage and active legal action against VGW. If you mainly want slots and daily promotions, it is worth a look. If you want low redemption thresholds, look elsewhere.
